State Bank of India executed planned maintenance on September 7, 2025, suspending Internet Banking, YONO, YONO Lite, and YONO Business between 1:20 AM and 2:20 AM IST. The bank had notified customers in advance to reschedule time-sensitive transactions outside the maintenance window.
The one-hour outage affected online and mobile banking channels but left critical payment infrastructure intact. UPI Lite transactions and ATM services remained fully operational throughout the maintenance period, ensuring customers could still access cash and conduct basic payments.
SBI's planned upgrades are part of routine infrastructure hardening aimed at improving system stability and security. Such maintenance windows are standard practice across Indian banks to deploy patches, upgrade databases, and reinforce defences against emerging threats.
