Executive Summary

One MobiKwik Systems Limited has completed the formal transfer of its digital lending business to its wholly-owned subsidiary, MobiKwik Distribution Services Private Limited (MDSPL).

To capitalize the dedicated lending entity, the parent company infused ₹60.85 crore (approximately ₹61 crore) in fresh equity and appointed former Bajaj Markets executive Manish Pathania as the Chief Business Officer (CBO) to spearhead digital credit operations.

Corporate Restructuring & RBI Compliance

The transition ring-fences digital credit distribution within a standalone, capitalized legal structure:

  • Regulatory Ring-Fencing: Formally separating credit distribution from core payment rails ensures full alignment with the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) Digital Lending Directions and NBFC operating frameworks.
  • Capital Base Expansion: The ₹60.85 crore equity infusion strengthens MDSPL’s net worth, providing the capital reserves required to expand institutional debt partnerships and scale loan origination.

Leadership Appointment & Growth Roadmap

  • Executive Background: Manish Pathania brings nearly two decades of financial services and consumer credit experience, having previously served as the Business Head for Unsecured Loans at Bajaj Markets (part of the Bajaj Finserv ecosystem).
  • Disbursement Velocity: Under the restructured framework, MDSPL has set an operational target to achieve over ₹1,000 crore in quarterly loan disbursements across consumer credit and merchant finance portfolios.
