Bajaj Capital, a long-standing name in Indian wealth management, has named Jai Bajaj as its new Managing Director and CEO.

His mandate centres on moving the firm from a legacy, relationship-based advisory model to one built on digital and AI-driven tools.

The strategy has three stated pillars: modernising the firm's traditional distribution network, shifting toward algorithmic and data-driven financial advisory, and equipping existing advisors with modern tech stacks to compete with new-age wealth-tech startups.

The leadership change frames this as a test of whether a decades-old traditional wealth manager can pivot to an AI-driven model without losing its existing legacy client base.
