Doraiswamy stated that the convergence of rising disposable incomes, expanding longevity, and increasing financial literacy is creating unprecedented structural expansion for India's life insurance and retirement sector.
The executive commentary follows a record financial performance in the 2025–26 fiscal year (FY26), during which LIC posted an all-time high Profit After Tax (PAT) of ₹57,419 crore on a total premium income of ₹5,35,984 crore, maintaining a commanding 65.16% market share in policies and 56.66% in First Year Premium Income (FYPI).
