Kiwi General Insurance Limited has announced a ₹5,000 crore premium book target, marking an ambitious entry into India's motor insurance segment. The venture is backed by WestBridge Capital and led by Neelesh Garg, former MD & CEO of TATA AIG General Insurance Company Limited.
Rather than replicate the traditional insurance playbook—heavy overheads, sprawling physical networks—Kiwi is deploying an AI-first operating model from inception. The company has engineered its artificial intelligence stack to drastically reduce transaction times for customers, aggressively lower backend operational costs, and scale distribution and underwriting faster than legacy systems.
