Jio Platforms has filed its draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with SEBI, revealing a CEO change at the helm. Kiran Thomas, who led product and technology strategy for over a decade, has been replaced by Pankaj Mohan Pawar, currently managing director of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL), the core telecom arm.
Thomas built out Jio's digital ecosystem—apps, streaming services, and enterprise solutions—during a product-first phase of the company's evolution. His departure marks a clear inflection point in how Jio is positioning itself for public markets.
